Why do you believe this tree should be selected as the winner in this category?
Besides stating the obivous - you can also see a face on the second branch from the right which looks like it's screaming a warning at the viewer to go away and or come a little closer my pretty!!...
This tree is pounded with flooding waters each and every spring yet seems to get stronger and spookier looking too. You can be the judge - I'm not going to get any closer that's for sure! Thank goodness for optical zoom.

reminds me of the alien...dark skies and water - swampy and uninviting. If you got any closer, the branches would swallow you up.
This tree looks like it should be in some sort of horror flick! The water and the trees surroundings - WOW, makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
