Why do you believe this tree should be selected as the winner in this category?

This Rare and statley Copper Beech tree stands at the front gates, welcoming everyone;each day it seems with a new colour. It starts the season by dropping its fall leaves and seed pods when the new growh begins.Almost transparant yellow in the first stages it changes slowly to copper,by mid may its a copper beauty. Then the colour goes to oranges to reds and purples . By fall its a deep burgundy. The Elephant like grey trunk is 15 feet 6 inches in cir. It is so old that it has many wrinkles and scars. This is my favorite tree in the City of London .A delight for the eyes and soul.

What people are saying about this tree

I agree

NICE TREE

Absolutely beautiful photos. Congrats.

The description of the changing colours of this Copper Beech entices me to drive by to see it every time I come to London. Just want to see it in person as the trunk is spectacular as well. I live out of town and will make the trek on my next visit.

What I would like to know is how old it's soul is?
