Why do you believe this tree should be selected as the winner in this category?

I would often walk through Meadowlily Woods with my family when I lived in London. On my last trek through the woods in October of 2008, I noticed this tree. I know I've passed by this tree ten's if not hundred's of times but this time from the right angle this tree's face caught my eye. With an orchestra of birds and whispers of leaves in the breeze, this old tree seemed to be hauntingly singing for it's life in unison with the forest. While in London I especially enjoyed this wooded area both as a playground and sanctuary and this old tree felt like it was earily singing me home.
This tree deserves to win because to me it captures the spirit of nature in a way that reflects back to our true spirit in nature and calls us to protect natural areas from over development and to be good stewards to the land that sustains us.
