Why do you believe this tree should be selected as the winner in this category?

18 years ago, I decided that I wanted a tree for the front yard. We drove to Sauble to the family farm & spent the day with my dad driving around the farm until we found the perfect little Birch tree. We brought it home, planted it & babied it as I was determined that the tree was going to live and live it has! Several years ago half of it broke off in an ice storm so we babied it again. Today it is about 30 feet high. Almost a year to the day from when we found the tree, my dad passed away. Every time I look at that tree, the beautiful memories of my childhood at Sauble Beach return.
