Book keeper Job Desciption

ReForest London engages individuals, groups and businesses in planting and caring for trees in neighbourhoods and natural areas throughout London. We are seeking a Book Keeper to assist us in managing our books, ensuring our financial transactions are without fault, and reporting our financial status regularly.

This is a part-time, hourly position, estimated at 4-5 hours per month at our London office at Westminster Ponds.

Duties:

  • Accounts payable
    Record invoices according to G/L category.
    Write cheques based on approved invoices.
     
  • Accounts receivable
    Record grants according to grant conditions.
    Receive and record incoming payments and donations.
    Make deposits. 
    Write charitable receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly.
  • Produce regular Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Reports
  • Produce annual CRA reports.
  • Calculate and remit source deductions.
  • Process payroll for two employees.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent skills with QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Book keeping experience required.
  • Non-profit experience strongly desired.
  • Must be able to work during regular working hours.
