Give a gift that keeps on living

Give a meaningful gift this year that improves your community and the environment. ReForest London will plant a tree right here in London for the special people on your list. Giving a tree is easy – online or in person.

Three ReForest London donors talk about why they support ReForest London in this this 5-minute video.

Give Online

  1. Simply visit click the Donate Now button below and donate securely online with your credit card.

    Donate Now Through CanadaHelps.org!

CanadaHelps is the largest, most trusted organization to receive online donations for charities in Canada. A minimum donation of $20 is required to plant a tree. Note that the ornaments and notecards are NOT available online. They must be purchased from the retail locations listed below.

  2. At the CanadaHelps website, be sure to fill out the relevant sections for gifts so that we can send the appropriate card in your name. We need the name and address of the person to whom you are giving the gift, or the name and address of the family of the person who is being memorialized though a tree. Rest assured that we not solicit donations from the gift recipients in the future.
  3. ReForest London will plant a tree in the name of the gift recipient during one of our spring or fall tree planting events. If you sign up for our email list, you will be informed of our tree planting events, and if you wish, you can come to plant the tree yourself!

Julie Picken-Cooper
A London native, Julie spent a year travelling in Europe before returning to Canada to attend UWO for a degree in fine art, specializing in printmaking. Upon graduation she went to Florence, Italy to study printmaking. After completing this program, she completed a masters degree in sculpture at the Instituto Allende, located in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. During this period of study she learned the process of bronze casting.

After ten years in Mexico, Julie returned to London and acquired her Education degree. She is currently a teacher with the Thames Valley District School board and gives private lessons, in addition to continuing to create art in several forms.

The images on the cards that ReForest London is selling are from four batik piece that Julie created. Julie taught herself the medium of batik, which originates in Indonesia. It is a complicated process of layering wax and dye to create images. Julie can be reached at juliart@hotmail.com.

Laura Goffin
Laura Goffin was born and raised in London Ontario. She attended South Secondary School before attending Bealart from 2007-2008. At Beal she was able to learn a vast number of media and had the opportunity to travel to England and France during her March break.
