Volunteer Spotlight August 2016 – Remembering Nathan Deslippe

Everyone at ReForest London is deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Nathan Deslippe’s passing.

Nathan was a young bright light for London’s community, and we will miss him, his laugh and his boundless enthusiasm and energy. Nathan volunteered his time and experience on our Marketing Committee for several years and always provided insightful and fun ideas.

For those who knew Nathan, they knew he was a genuinely nice and caring person, always willing to lend a hand where needed and happy to give back to London by volunteering with ReForest London. Just last week at our Marketing Committee meeting, Nathan happily typed minutes laughing and talking about ideas, trees, yoga, socks, never missing a beat with his excellent transcribing of our creative and busy meetings.

We send our deepest condolences to Nathan’s family and friends, as we can only imagine how hard and heartbreaking this is for them. We will be planting a tree in the Celebration Forest for Nathan next year and will remember him for all his amazingness.
