Volunteer Spotlight – March 2013

Name: Angela Romanoff
Volunteer Since: November 2012
Volunteer Position(s): Graphic Designer (web banners, posters, graphics)

Autobiography: I am a Fanshawe Graduate, where I studied Graphic Design, and am currently working at the London Public Library as a Page. I love all animals, especially my two cats that I adopted from the Humane Society. I love playing games, any game whether it be a video game, board game or card game, I love them all! My family and I are always collecting new games and can get pretty competitive. Some of my other hobbies include reading, art, design, knitting, landscape photography, spending time with family and friends, and the environment. In the future I hope to be able to travel all over, work professionally as a Graphic Designer, and still be able to volunteer my time.

Reflections on Volunteering: I had always loved the idea of volunteering and giving something back, but had never really volunteered. But ReForest London was so welcoming to me and I was so happy to be able to share my skills with them. I volunteer at ReForest London because I love the environment and I love the idea of adding trees to our city. Having grown up just outside the city, I’m quite used to lots of greenery and am happy to help spread some of that greenery into and around the city. I’m hoping in the spring to volunteer to help plant trees and be able to get out into the community and learn even more about our city. My whole experience with ReForest London has really made me eager to join other organizations and volunteer with them as well.
