Summer 2019 Day Camp Program

Forest Wars Day Camp!

What is Forest Wars Camp?

Forest Wars Camp is a fun, environmentally-themed day camp offered by ReForest London, designed to teach children about invasive species, their impact on native ecosystems, and what everyone can do to fight back! The invasive species discussed will include European buckthorn, garlic mustard, and others. The camp will include a short lesson on invasive species, an educational hike in the forest at Westminster Ponds, outdoor games, and a nature craft.

Your children will get to be environmental superheroes, helping to restore the future health of our forests! Learn how to identify and help to defeat the evil empire of invasives!

Who can participate?

Forest Wars is designed for youth ages 9-12 and is great for kids who love playing outside, getting muddy, and who care about the environment. The camp involves a moderate hike and takes place fully outdoors, sometimes in muddy conditions. Children with special needs are invited to attend, but we ask they are accompanied by a support person.

When & where does it take place?

9:00am – 12:00pm, Saturday July 13, 2019 at ReForest London (944 Western Counties Road, London)
