As an Aftercare Program Assistant, Kamila (she/her) assists with the planning and delivery of aftercare events, park naturalizations, tree plantings, and tree giveaways, and also helps perform survivability and tree health assessments on past planting sites.
Kamila is currently completing her BA in History at Brock University, with a focus on Indigenous and Environmental history, while also completing her minor in Environmental Sustainability. She plans to continue her studies abroad at the University of the West Indies this coming fall.
Kamila is excited to join the ReForest London team and work alongside like-minded, nature-loving individuals who are passionate about the environment and creating a more equitable and sustainable future for all Londoners. Kamila believes that the power of community is London’s biggest asset when it comes to tackling the environmental issues facing our city. She is a strong advocate for accessible environmental education and believes in ReForest London’s mission of educating, empowering, and inspiring Londoners to work together to create a greener future, starting with trees!
In her free time, Kamila enjoys backcountry camping in Algonquin park with her dog, running, playing soccer, knitting, and baking.
