ReForest London is pleased to announce the completion of our Celebration Forest program this coming Fall. This ambitious naturalization project, developed in partnership with the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London, has brought thousands of people together to plant trees in the forest behind the Parkwood Parkwood Institute, next to the Westminster Ponds Centre for Environment and Sustainability. With all available space now planted, this year marks the final opportunity for the public to participate in the program in its current form.
Since 2011, Celebration Forest has offered individuals and families a meaningful way to mark life’s milestones through the gift of a tree. Whether in celebration of a birthday, wedding, or retirement, or in memory of someone dearly missed, each Tree Gift has helped grow a living legacy in the heart of our community.
We are incredibly proud of what Celebration Forest has accomplished. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, partners, and dedicated volunteers, Celebration Forest has become a thriving natural space and a powerful symbol of connection, remembrance, and renewal.

While this chapter is coming to a close, the Tree Gift program itself is not ending. We are currently developing a new model that will allow people to continue giving the gift of trees in a variety of ways—including an option that will carry forward the spirit of Celebration Forest with special dedications and recognitions.
We look forward to sharing more details about this transition in the coming months. In the meantime, we encourage anyone who has been considering a Tree Gift to take part in this final Tree Planting Ceremony, to be held on Saturday, 13 September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the last year of Celebration Forest as we know it.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the program over the past 15 years. Together, we’ve created lasting, living legacy—a healthy, native forest that celebrates life, memory, and community.
