Give back to our veterans. Plant forward for the future.

In 1946, the Department of Veterans Affairs established the Western Counties Health and Occupational Centre at Westminster Ponds as a place of healing for Canadian veterans. Today, this historic location is home to ReForest London and the Westminster Ponds Centre, London’s hub for environment and sustainability.

In honour of this rich and meaningful heritage, we invite you to join our Roots of Honour campaign this Remembrance Day.

For two days only – 12:00 pm on November 10 until 11:59 pm on November 11 – we’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal of $1,200 to support initiatives like the Veterans Tree Project, a new collaboration between ReForest London’s Community Tree Nursery and the Veterans Care Program at the Parkwood Institute. The project empowers veterans to get involved in local tree growing and reforestation efforts, providing hands-on learning about tree care, urban forestry, and London’s unique natural history.

With your donations, ReForest London can continue delivering hands-on environmental education and ecosystem restoration activities for veterans and the broader London community.

Join us this Remembrance Day in giving back to Canadian veterans, while planting the seeds for a greener tomorrow.
