Michele Anderson serves on the ReForest London Board of Directors, where she supports the organization’s work to grow and protect London’s urban forest through community engagement, strategic communications, and a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.
She is a social media and digital marketing professional at YMCA of Southwestern Ontario with a background in communications, project management, campaign strategy, and community-focused storytelling. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, exploring nature, finding quiet moments outdoors, and creating meaningful connections.
Michele wanted to be part of the ReForest London team because the organization helped kickstart her career, and joining the board felt like a meaningful way to give back to a community and mission that shaped her professional path. She is especially excited by the ability of trees and natural spaces to create incredible moments in nature for people who may not otherwise have easy access to them.
Michele believes London must continue addressing urban tree canopy loss, climate resilience, and equitable access to green space. She hopes to contribute to a more sustainable London by supporting work that helps more people understand, value, and participate in protecting the natural spaces around them.
