A Toast to Trees! London’s celebration of trees was a fun, inspiring event complete with live jazz music, tree mood lighting and local wine and beer! The program and event slide show illustrated the impressive number of actions that Partners and supporters are taking to grow a green legacy for London. It is always nice to get together with like-minded people to celebrate the accomplishments of London’s Million Tree Challenge and acknowledge the contributions made from Partners and supporters.
This year, the first Million Tree Challenge Awards were presented to honour five well-deserving supporters of a greener, healthier city. Created from locally sourced, kiln-dried black walnut, the awards were presented to London Life (Solid Oak Award), CLC Tree Services (Forest City Builder Award), TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (Digging In Award), Western Serves (Tree Team Award), and Matthew Juszczynski (Tree Hero Award).
A big thank you to Million Tree Challenge Partners who stepped up and helped sponsor the event! We couldn’t host such a wonderful evening if it wasn’t for TLC Landscaping, TRY Recycling, London District Energy – Veresen, Arthur Lierman Landscape Architecture, and Horizon Leadership. We would also like to thank Business London Magazine for their support of the Million Tree Challenge through our double page MTC Partner thank you ad, Goodwill Industries for the great space, food and service, and to everyone who attended the event! The unbelievable turnout really exemplifies the activism and support that goes on in our city, and we couldn’t be more excited for a greener, healthier London!
