How Your Tribute Makes an Impact
Every gift to Trees in Tribute supports ReForest London’s full range of urban forest programs:

Personalized Tree Certificate
Every Trees in Tribute donation of $100 or more receives one custom Tree Certificate. This certificate features your honouree’s name and the number of tree equivalents your donation has planted in their honour – a meaningful way to show the impact of your gift.
Many donors choose to frame their certificates, creating thoughtful gifts for memorials, celebrations, and special occasions.
Your custom Tree Certificate is mailed to you (or your chosen recipient) within one month of donation. Remember to enter your recipient’s postal address in the donation form.
Online Dedication Registry
Our interactive online registry contains the names of past and current honourees. New names are added monthly, and new donors are welcome to send photos of their honourees to [email protected] to be included in the registry.
Artwork of the Year
Each year, we commission a local artist to create a Trees in Tribute Artwork of the Year. For donations of $100 or more, donors can choose to send one high-quality, 4″ x 6″ printed reproduction of the artwork to themselves or a chosen recipient as a keepsake.
The original artwork will remain with ReForest London, displayed in one of our historic buildings and open to the public for viewing at certain events.

What’s included with my Trees in Tribute donation?
Support for Trees in Tribute helps fund the programs that protect our urban forest – from planting native trees to educating youth to providing free trees to the community. Every contribution receives a charitable tax receipt.
To help illustrate the impact your gift, we express its value in “tree equivalents”. For example, a donation of $100 could support the planting and care of four trees, while $150 could help plant around ten. This simple measure shows how your generosity directly strengthens our forests.
Contributions of $100 or more are recognized with special keepsakes: one custom Tree Certificate (which reflects the impact of your gift), one print reproduction of the Artwork of the Year, and your honouree’s name on our Online Registry.
Where will my honouree’s name(s) be displayed?
Unless otherwise indicated by the donor, all honouree names will be included in our Online Registry, which will exist on our website in perpetuity. The Online Registry is updated monthly.
Does my donation plant real trees?
Donations made to Trees in Tribute support all of our urban forestry programs, including our Planting Programs, which grow and plant native trees in London parks and public areas. For this reason, we don’t dedicate individual trees to individual honourees. Instead, we encourage participants to think of Trees in Tribute as planting and preserving a collective, city-wide forest that grows stronger and healthier together.
