As Manager of Naturalization Projects, Lily works to develop and implement park naturalization projects across the London area by managing the tree planting programs, community greening projects, and the aftercare program.

Lily holds an Advanced Diploma in Ecosystems Management from Fleming College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Resource Science from Trent University. Through her work with charitable land trusts organizations like the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Ontario Nature, Lily has developed a great passion for conservation projects and a love-hate relationship with invasive species management. Additionally, she finds great pleasure in watching volunteers experience the satisfaction of planting their own trees from her past experience in community outreach at Credit Valley Conservation.

Lily believes community awareness and education is key to helping our towns and cities move forward in preparing for and ensuring climate change resiliency. With ReForest London’s numerous projects and support from the community, she believes we can inspire a personal connection to nature and demonstrate how small efforts on a local scale can drive change. What excites Lily most about her role is the ability to meet and teach community members about the benefits of trees, increase the tree canopy cover for the service of all living things that call London home, and inspire the next generation of nature enthusiasts.

In her free time, Lily enjoys learning new plants on hikes, trying new foods, and looking for treasures at the local thrift stores.

Her favourite tree is the Northern Catalpa
